The personnel and equipment have downsized considerably in the last few days.  The Division of Fire officials have made the decision to monitor the incident.  There are a few areas of concern for firefighter safety.  Contingency lines are complete.  Smoke will be visible in the area for the next couple weeks.  There are 30 personnel assigned to the incident. 

Activity yesterday- Rainfall continues to help with fire activity and assist firefighters. Minimal fire behavior was observed. The fire continues to smolder and creep through thick, downed-woody fuels.

Today- The Division of Fire officials will monitor the fire.  The primary concern for fire management is to maintain firefighter and public safety.  Miscellaneous D.O.F. overhead are assigned to the blaze.

Road closures- The HS-1001, 1002, 3021 and the HS-3100 are closed.  The HS-1000 and HS-3000 roads are now open.

Today’s weather- Today- Mostly cloudy..  Chance of rain showers.  Slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temp- 65-70 valleys and 45-50 ridges. RH- 50-60%  Wind- variable less than 7 mph. Ridge top  east 5-10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. The fire is 60 acres and 55% contained. Please stay out of the area and adhere to all road closures.
